『photographs』的合作起因相当巧合，当初Carla Bruni正在寻找与华人歌手的合作机会，她的团队询问各唱片与版权公司都不约而同推荐蔡健雅作为合作对象，这让Carla Bruni感到非常神奇，同时蔡健雅正在筹备新专辑，她接到合作的邀愿洽询，便跟Carla联络并听demo，想不到两人一见如故，加上蔡健雅往年必造访巴黎，种种因素让他们对于这次合唱相当乐见其成。但因为双方相隔欧亚两洲，Carla不会中文且又是首次演唱中文歌词，蔡健雅便亲自录制了中文让Carla可以自己学习，歌曲录制时蔡健雅透过视讯软体跨海连线担任制作，不因彼此相隔的距离而阻绝了这次至臻完美的合作。这首舒服的歌曲就如同历经拂面的冷热，贴近内心却直接的感受，返回初心的自问自与，答案都在一切不言中。
